EXCITED DALRY THISTLE boss Darren Henderson says the rank outsiders for the Emirates Scottish Junior Cup are "living the dream" as they bid to take another scalp and make the semi-finals of the blue riband event.

And as the Merksworth Park men prepare to host Super Premier Division side Kirkintilloch Rob Roy in Saturday's quarter-final, one of the biggest games in their history, the former Ayr United and Stranraer ace is truly dreading telling the two players who don't make the final 18-man squad that they have been left out.

The bookies don't give the home side much of a hope, quoting them at 11-4 to win the tie and 16/1 to lift the trophy while Rabs are priced at 8/13 and a draw comes in at 16/5, but the manager says they will revel in their underdog role.

They warmed up for the Scottish showdown with a 3-0 victory at Craigmark Burntonians in the Stagecoach Ayrshire District League although the gaffer feels the players had an eye on this weekend.
