Stagecoach Super League First Division: ARDROSSAN WINTON ROVERS 3 DALRY THISTLE 4
FORMER Thistle boss John Garroch's first game against his old side ended in defeat as indisciplined nine-man Winton slumped to their third loss in a row.
This was a hard-fought and well deserved win for the basement side who had they not conceded two penalties, would have been well out of sight of Winton.
The hosts felt hard done by early on when the referee waved away claims for a penalty after veteran Stephen Reid was brought down.
The opening goal came in only four-and-a-half minutes when a free-kick to Dalry was played in to the near post and Graeme Paterson reacted to get to the ball and steer a header into the net.
Winton created a chance in 15 minutes when Graham Muir shot over the bar from a corner-kick.
